José Antonio Fernández, President of the Board of the Tecnológico de Monterrey and President of the Administrative Board of FEMSA, understands the challenges and pathways to continued success. He also emphasizes the importance of helping the education sector in the country, mentioning Fundación FEMSA and the new partnership between the Tecnológico de Monterrey and MIT. 

EDUCA coordinates Oversight Committee of Education

EDUCA was designated as the entity that coordinates the Oversight Committee of Eductaion.  Elena Viyella was thankful for the vote of confidence after the appointment and then stressed the need of an institution that empowers actors in the education process.

Walker On How to Fight Income Inequality

Darren Walker was a panelist at this year's Income Inequality Panel at the Milken Institute Global Conference in early May. Walker, President of the Ford Foundation, spoke about the challenges that low-income, African-Americans face due to "our inherently biased educational and criminal systems". When asked how to fight such inequalities, he advised that we must focus on "structures and systems".
