Christina Lara, Senior Program Director & Operations Manager
Christina Lara is the senior program director at the Group of 50 and is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations in the Washington, D.C. office as well as planning and coordinating the agenda for the G50 Annual Meeting. Since moving to Washington in 2009, Christina has served in the Congressional Affairs Program of the Inter-American Dialogue, coordinated the office of Educational and Artistic Outreach at the Mexican Cultural Institute, and collaborated with indigenous Guatemalan textile producers to market their goods in the D.C. region. Most recently, she was the executive assistant to Chairman Moises Naim. While a 2007-2008 Princeton in Latin America fellow, Christina was a researcher and tutor with Convivencia Educativa, an educational development NGO that fosters learning communities throughout schools in rural Mexico. Previously, Christina was a sales associate for Baccarat Crystal in Paris and researcher at the Paris-based business school Hautes Études Commerciales. Christina earned a BA in comparative literature with concentrations in Spanish, French and Portuguese from Princeton University.
